HOW TO START YOUR OWN CHAPTER
First off, thanks for your interest in getting involved,
we’re so excited to add you to the team!
In order to start your own fundraiser, we’ll have you take a few more steps:

Fill out the Contact Us form so we can send you important information and set up a shared drive.

Assemble a team of 8-10 peers who will reliably fundraise on social media.

Create a group message for everyone to communicate (we typically use the app Groupme).

Establish board members in your group (see descriptions below).

Reach out to a local homeless shelter or charity. Establish a relationship with them, explain D.O. More’s mission and the goals of your fundraiser.

Find out what items the organization needs. Create a list or spreadsheet of items you would like to donate. Templates and examples will be included in the shared drive.

Once you’ve completed all these steps, contact us to get started preferably via email domoreunited@gmail.com

ESTABLISHING YOUR LOCAL BOARD
President: maintain an open communication with members, assemble a team, relay information to the national D.O. More team, and oversee the fundraiser.
Vice President(s): assist the President with recruiting members, choosing a shelter or charity, deciding which items to put in the bags, pricing of items, posting schedules for launch, and overall communication with the team. May require 2 VPs per chapter.
Treasurer: document the donations and spending costs via a spreadsheet, collect receipts, and communicate this information to our National Treasurer.
Secretary: communicate with the shelter or charity, set up bag assembly day, coordinate bag delivery, and take minutes at meetings.
Social Media team: create designs for instagram and facebook posts/stories.
If you have awesome graphic design skills, this is the time for you to shine!
