Organization: Resurrection House and Local Salvation Army

April 2021 was a big month for our Bradenton/Sarasota Chapter. Not only was it when the chapter was initiated, but it was also when they held their first fundraiser. The chapter partnered with Resurrection House and the local Salvation Army and with the help of their 51 volunteers, they surpassed their $3,201 goal and raised $3,722! 100% of this money was used to make 324 bags of toiletries and other necessities for these organizations! Since its inception, over 150 medical students have been involved in the Bradenton-Sarasota chapter over the past year and we are continuing to grow! We are looking forward to working with the Resurrection House and the Salvation Army in the near future.

Bradenton-Sarasota also launched a chapter to partner with Saleh Freedom in 2022, a nonprofit organization that helps survivors of sex trafficking and exploitation. Together with local medical students and doctors, they raised $1,853! They made 60+ bags of essential items for Saleh Freedom's clients. Thank you for more!
