Organization: Westhab

D.O. More Yonkers was founded by local medical students who partnered with Westhab, one of the only shelters in Yonkers, NY. Westhab's mission is to utilize a "comprehensive community development approach that transforms neighborhoods and delivers hope and opportunity to our neighbors who are most in need." Since their founding,  Westhab has built 912 affordable housing units, moved 8,635 households from homelessness to affordable housing, placed 6,815 people into employment, and delivered services to over 10,000 homeless and at-risk youth. Through D.O. More's donations of blankets, toiletries, and ponchos, their "Blessings in a Bag" were able to help 48 people in need. Thank you for your generous donations!
